Police are appealing for information about a late night fire which left a Wairoa home with significant damage on Wednesday morning.
Fire and Emergency were called to a fire at an Apatu Street property in the northern Hawkes Bay town about 1.15am on Wednesday morning.
Three fire engines attended the blaze which left the home heavily damaged.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said a detective and a fire investigator attended the scene yesterday.

The fire was being treated as suspicious, while enquiries were set to continue, police said.
Police have appealed for information from anyone who has information or who may have seen anything suspicious in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
